    Top site for beaches

Easy access to the long, sandy beaches of Lincolnshire's seaside coast from this campsite.

The seaside is the big draw for our family-friendly Mablethorpe Club campsite. Its location is just a mile from the lovely sandy beach at Mablethorpe. This golden expanse of sand is perfect for bucket and spade fun, while the seafront offers everything you would expect from a British seaside resort – amusement arcades, fairground, donkey rides and cafes.

Queens Park next to the beach offers a variety of activities and has a boating lake, paddling pool, miniature railway, tennis courts and putting green. Head further down the coast for Skegness and more traditional seaside fun.

For those visiting Mablethorpe campsite, it’s not just about the beach. Inland the Fens and Lincolnshire Wolds are both lovely walking and cycling areas. The towns of Louth, Spilsby, Market Rasen and Alford are all worth visiting, the latter is fames for its craft market held every Tuesday and Friday through the summer.

On arrival we were very disappointed at the condition of the first field. We were the made aware that work on the road, installation of electric hookups and hard standings had only just finished. Over the two weeks of our stay the wardens cleaned up the site, cut the grass, which had to be strimed before it could be cut with a mower. Once again no new toilet block but we live in hope. This is a very good site with easy access to the town an beach. You are within easy reach of Skegness, Conigsby for the Memorial Flight and East Kirby for WWII museum.

Lovely site close to beach, Holiday spoilt by ball games being played around units and parents not interested in or adhering to the camping and caravanning rules about "ball games". To the club's credit, Mablethorpe site even has a devoted enclosure specifically for ball games!!. Maybe some strategically placed signs "no ball games" would stop unnecessary confrontation.

The present facilities block has been there for most of that time, which in my opinion was a "temporary" block anyway, it's now well passed it's use by date, and should have been replaced years ago. This year however we had to put up with a field being strimmed for most of the seven days, which was like a trapped bee in your caravan. Come on CCC give us a new facilities block, we pay enough for it.
