    Top site for beaches

Easy access to the long, sandy beaches of Lincolnshire's seaside coast from this campsite.

The seaside is the big draw for our family-friendly Mablethorpe Club campsite. Its location is just a mile from the lovely sandy beach at Mablethorpe. This golden expanse of sand is perfect for bucket and spade fun, while the seafront offers everything you would expect from a British seaside resort – amusement arcades, fairground, donkey rides and cafes.

Queens Park next to the beach offers a variety of activities and has a boating lake, paddling pool, miniature railway, tennis courts and putting green. Head further down the coast for Skegness and more traditional seaside fun.

For those visiting Mablethorpe campsite, it’s not just about the beach. Inland the Fens and Lincolnshire Wolds are both lovely walking and cycling areas. The towns of Louth, Spilsby, Market Rasen and Alford are all worth visiting, the latter is fames for its craft market held every Tuesday and Friday through the summer.

the staff where very helpful, we are very grateful to the wardens as our valve on our gas broke , and we were left with no heating, it was very cold and the wardens lent us their electric heater, which was still warm as they were using it themselves, Thank very much from Pat and Malc.

Unfortunately for us we visited during a 24 hour downpour and our hardstanding pitch, along with others around us, flooded overnight and we awoke to a flooded awning. With 2 dogs & a cat and a small caravan this was a disaster for us. We spent a morning sweeping water out. This experience was unnecessary as the design of the pitches are edged with wood & do not accommodate drainage. We were effectively, sat in a pond. No staff came to check, luckily we carry a brush. The site manager's pitch had 2 small pipes sunk into the gravel. This is all it takes to solve a big problem. So staff were, in my opinion, that the pitches were liable to flood. If it weren't for the sun over the following 4 days to dry most of our gear out, this would have been our worse caravan experience in 20 years. The pitches look great on first site but not practical and very miserable to say the least, in heavy constant rain. We would only recommend this site when the weather forecast is dry.

Just stayed at this campsite and I would highly recommend it.

Just stayed at this campsite and I would highly recommend it. The toilet and shower block was very clean and well fitted. My only disappointment is that after a night of heavy rain our hard standing was water logged by approx 2 inches of water, it was almost a lake.

Arrived to be greeted by the asst.

This review is for Mablethorpe

Arrived to be greeted by the asst. warden who was very helpful and offered a free upgrade to a hardstanding pitch as the grass was so wet. This was accepted and we were shown to our chosen pitch. We proceeded to set up and it was then that we discovered that our new awning had some poles that were too long. With the aid of a borrowed hacksaw these were cut down to the right length. This is quite a large site with over 100 pitches, but there is only one toilet block situated near the entrance. It is a long way from the top end of the site in the middle of the night! or to empty the chemical loo. It was however immaculate, having had a refit in the last year. One criticism is that the shower temperature was fixed, probably too hot for a child. There is a small children's playground with two swings, a climbing frame and slide. The site details indicate that it is a pet friendly site, but the dog run is a joke, being approximately 40m x 3m., barely enough to swing a cat! (waste bin provided), in comparison the ball games area is about half the size of a junior football pitch. Local attractions include many and varied mobile home sites, a seal sanctuary at the other end of the town, and not a lot else!
