    Top site for beaches

Easy access to the long, sandy beaches of Lincolnshire's seaside coast from this campsite.

The seaside is the big draw for our family-friendly Mablethorpe Club campsite. Its location is just a mile from the lovely sandy beach at Mablethorpe. This golden expanse of sand is perfect for bucket and spade fun, while the seafront offers everything you would expect from a British seaside resort – amusement arcades, fairground, donkey rides and cafes.

Queens Park next to the beach offers a variety of activities and has a boating lake, paddling pool, miniature railway, tennis courts and putting green. Head further down the coast for Skegness and more traditional seaside fun.

For those visiting Mablethorpe campsite, it’s not just about the beach. Inland the Fens and Lincolnshire Wolds are both lovely walking and cycling areas. The towns of Louth, Spilsby, Market Rasen and Alford are all worth visiting, the latter is fames for its craft market held every Tuesday and Friday through the summer.

The warden was very helpful and friendly. The pitch was clean as well as the site.

The warden was very helpful and friendly. The pitch was clean as well as the site. There was a little mud from the upgrade works but only messy when it rained. The showers/toilets, although old, were very clean. It was unusual to find the disabled shower in the washing up/laundry room but this was also clean and spotless. There is an easy half hour walk in to the town but the seal sanctuary requires transport. All in all a very nice site.

We really enjoy visiting the site at Mablethorpe it feels like our second home. Pam and Graham the site managers greet us, and remember us when we visit. We find them to be most accommodating. The seasonal wardens have always been friendly. We have four dogs and in all of the years we have been visiting we haven't had any problems with our dogs or other dogs on the site. This time they had started to upgrade the site with more hard standing pitches and a wider entrance. This was very much welcomed. The road was also being tarmacked around the site which was also a plus. We were only confused that the club had decided to do the site before the new toilet block which has been talked about since we have been visiting the site. The toilets are very clean does the job but they could have done with an upgrade. Which in our opinion should have come before pitches. We are visiting again in 10 weeks time :-)
