We Stayed for 5 nights at this charming site.

This review is for Charolands

We Stayed for 5 nights at this charming site. The site is easy to access and has 5 adequate hard standing pitches. We were greeted on our arrival by the owners who were very pleasant and helpful. The pitches overlook a farm pond, although only two of the pitches have good views over the pond, that is alive with ducks and geese. Lincoln is about 15 minutes away with the park and ride very easy to get to. However we think next time we'll just park at the park and ride car park and walk in as it is only about a mile and a half to the Cathedral, saving the fiver it costs to use the bus. There is a great eatery in the village that is within a 5 minute walk of site. We also had the added bonus of being able to look out of the van and watch the Red Arrows training every day (the locals find this tedious) but which we loved. We couldn't believe our luck in having the place to ourselves for 5 nights!! We will return in the very near future.....

Comfortable site and handy for Lincoln.

This review is for Charolands

Comfortable site and handy for Lincoln. A very comfortable site with easy access from the road. There are no toilets or showers but the pitches are spacious and not too close together. There is a tap for drinking water and an Elsan point. There is a bus stop in the village about five mites walk from the site. We used the bus to go into Lincoln and it was about a twenty minute journey. I will definitely use this site again if I am going to the Lincoln area and I would be happy to recommend it to friends.

We stayed at Charolands last weekend.

This review is for Charolands

We stayed at Charolands last weekend. It's lovely, really quiet and peaceful, there is a lovely duck pond, which has both ducks and geese. The information hut is very handy with plenty of leaflets for things to do in the area, bus timetables, also lots of books to borrow and read. It is a perfect location for leaving our motor home at the site and walking the short distance to the bus stop. We wanted to spend the day in nearby Lincoln. The bus only takes 25 minutes. The following day we walked to the local pub/Restaurant. This is the Cross Keys. Where we enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch. The prices are very reasonable. The service excellent, we will definitely go back. Both to the campsite and the pub!!!
