Overview

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
Whilst the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, please be aware that this site has chosen to be Adults Only.

Situated at the southern end of the beautiful Lincolnshire wolds, the site is convenient for both Lincoln and the coast and only 10 mins from Horncastle. Its a quiet place away from children and traffic and, we offer on site fishing with specimen carp in double figures and a variety of other species. The main site has the convenience of electric hook ups, but waterside pitches are available for the more independent. The Sebastopol Inn is less than 10 minutes walk and serves locally sourced produce particularly the meat which is also available from the local farm shop.Horncastle with its market is convenient for most things, it is also acknowledged to be one of the best antique centres in the country, and nearby Hemswell is the largest in Europe. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is also one of the many places of interest in what was once known as "Bomber County".

If you want somewhere to go and recharge your batteries then this is the place.

If you want somewhere to go and recharge your batteries then this is the place. A lovely quiet restful site away from any hustle and bustle. The pub down the road is easy to walk to, but not cheap for food. That said the menu was different and very tasty. It did come to 70 for two of us, that included a bottle of wine, dessert but no starters. We found the landlord very friendly but probably not the kind of place to visit if you just can't be bothered to cook. Owner of the camp site very friendly and willing to share ideas for places to visit and places to eat. Only us and a tent on the site but it is well laid out and even if you had all 5 pitches full I don't think it would feel crowded. The day we left we were told we could leave whatever time we wanted, which was nice. There is no shower but the toilet was clean and my husband prefers to use our shower anyway. As he fetches the water that's no problem for me! I am sure we will return again as we both enjoyed the tranquility, even though the weather was not the best.
