This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

Park Fold Farm
has the following facilities on or around the site.
Hardstanding with electric hook-up
Grass only pitch (no electric)
Dedicated accessible facilities
Childrens play area
Designated dog walk
Friendly welcome then shown to our pitch. This was hard standing. The hardstanding pitches are long and narrow so with a caravan I assume the car is intended to be left in front of the caravan rather than by the side as normal. Not a problem but a little unconventional. An awning would need to be pitched on the grass by the side.
Water tap is easy to get close to with a motorhome. You could also drain waste water directly from the tank into a drain but it's not a full service point and you will need a drain hose.
Toilets were open all night but a little bit of a track from the site round the farm buildings. They were clean. Only problem is the timer for the lights can go off while you are in them so take a torch at night. They are shared with a gym and I was a little surprised that they had not added a shower as well.
Good mobile and TV reception.
There is a pleasant short walk round the jumbles reservoir from the site and the local area has many other more strenuous walks over the local moors. It's also close to Bury and the East Lancs steam railway among other attractions.

We booked a hard standing and was asked if we had an awning. We confirmed we had a porch awning. However the hard standing is too narrow and only accommodates the van itself. Even without an awning, you have to step out onto the grass/mud. The drainage is non existent and it is a total mud bath. We were disgusted. Our van needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. We have 2 dogs and 3 kids and every time we came in the van there was just mud everywhere. We read in reviews that they were really friendly. There was a man stood waiting for us on arrival (presuming owner). He wanted us to get out and walk all the way to our pitch first because he hadn't yet booked us in. When I handed him an envelope with our money and membership number on, he suddenly said we could drive the van straight to our pitch. I don't call this friendly, it's like we weren't trusted. This was our only contact. There is no light by the Elsan which was quite a trek from the pitch. I would not recommend this site in winter. The toilets although a trek from the van (round other side of the gym) were immaculate.

This site is an absolute hidden gem. We have camped all our lives and this is our favourite place ever! We have our own sanitation although they have a very clean toilet block. There is a small playground for the kiddies the views are incredible. The place is so peaceful and silent. Animals all around. My children aged 15, 10, 1 all love it here. 5 minute walk brings you to jumbles reservoir. A stunning walk with a lovely cafe/ice cream parlour. You can get your breakfast here if you wish. A few miles into Ramsbottom. A couple of car boots local on a Sunday. We will be regular visitors here without a doubt. Thanks

The site had hardstanding for our VW T25 + Awning & Paddock for Tent
We were greeted by a friendly and helpful couple who explained the site well
As a newly certified site the couple were keen for any feedback
The site could have been improved with showers, I believe they are in the pipeline
All in all a comfortable stay and I would be happy to return
