Overview

Camp at our secluded site in Kent, the Garden of England.

Our Oldbury Hill Club campsite is located in an idyllic spot within Styants Wood, opposite the Iron Age fort of the same name in Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The area is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is a lovely open, all grass campsite. Pitches are sloping so chocks will be required.

The area is ideal for walkers. Two way-marked circular walks pass over Oldbury Camp, the large Iron Age Hill fort. The hill is now covered with woodland managed by the National Trust. You can also walk from the campsite to Ightham Mote, a medieval moated manor house with a 14-acre garden and restaurant.

It’s a short car journey to Knole, a National Trust run English country house set in a deer park; Penshurst Palace and Gardens; the National Trust run Chartwell, family home of Winston Churchill; the beautiful Emmetts Garden and Hever Castle and Gardens.

You can also visit London by train from Borough Green and Sevenoaks stations.

I was very impressed with the site management Ade and Bob.

I was very impressed with the site management Ade and Bob. I have only been towing a caravan 8 years and now I am In my 60's, so I do not have a much experience. Ade's advice was invaluable when pitching up and was so helpful taking the time and trouble to explain about leveling. We have probably taken our caravan out 40 times to different places and this was the most friendliest helpful experience we have ever had thank you very much

This review is for Oldbury Hill

This site is basically a field surrounded by trees, no view, sitting on a considerable slope as other people have mentioned. Our one set of chocks was not enough to put us on a level and we were on one of the flatter pitches. Very poor toilet and shower facilities, not at all what I would expect from a CCC site. The worst thing of all was that this site has NO Motorhome service area. You will need a water butt to collect drinking water and a hose pipe, no waste area. This site really is for a one night stop-over only, as there was no TV or phone reception either. Over-rated
