    Top site for beaches

Cliff-top site popular with birdwatchers, sea anglers and Channel hoppers.

Our Folkestone Club campsite is ideally located whether you’re holidaying in Kent or taking a day trip to France by Channel Tunnel. The campsite enjoys a dramatic cliff-top position with stunning views of the sea and the chalky cliffs of the Dover-Folkestone Heritage Coast.

The campsite is surrounded by the trees and shrubbery of The Warren, a local Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Nature trails weave their way through The Warren, an important habitat for many rare plants and animals. Guided walks run from April through until September.

This peaceful campsite is well laid out with a mix of grass and hardstand pitches. The excellent facilities include a parent and child room with a baby bath, shower, and a highchair with harness.

Walkers and dog owners will enjoy the walks from the campsite along the cliffs and beach. You can walk into Folkestone and Dover using the footpath from the site too.

Folkestone has a cobbled High Street, harbour, promenade and a sandy beach next to the harbour. Dover, with its world-famous white cliffs, has an interesting castle.

South of the campsite is the seaside resort of Hythe, while Romney Marsh boasts three of the finest family-friendly sandy beaches in Kent – Dymchurch, Greatstone, and St Mary’s Bay. The shingle beach at Dungeness is backed by an RSPB Nature Reserve visitor centre and the area is brimming with plant and wild life.

Access and SatNav Advice

Please note that this site is not suitable if you need to leave for an early ferry, as the site gate does not open until 7am, and there is no parking outside the site. No touring caravans on this site. Long narrow access road to site.

Worth Noting

Sea Fishing from beach. The site overlooks a great shingle beach – the kids will love it. The site is the ideal location for bird watching and walking.

Eat Local

Not a place to stay for an extended period of time unless the weather is exceptionally good and you like sitting in the sun. Five days was ample. The walks around the warren made easier once the paths had been cleared.

my wife and I have been members for only nine years, since our first year the warren became our very favourite site, stunning position and well managed, until Chris Lovell became manager. In my opinion he was the most bombastic, dictatorial, jobsworth whom it has ever been my misfortune to encounter anywhere. His management style totally ruined this site for me and many other members, and I personally know of four couples who resigned their club membership because of his actions. I am overjoyed to say I have just spent most enjoyable 15 nights at the warren, the managers this year are brilliant, as we as members expect our site managers to be. The site was spotless, the welcome was extremely friendly and the whole management team couldn't do enough to make everyone's stay as perfect as possible, but most of all the camp has regained its friendly welcoming atmosphere, thank you Mark, Natalie, Melvyn and Lynda. And just for Mr Lovells information, just because we were allowed to park our units in whichever direction we want, we did not have our pitches measured out to the inch with your tape measure, we were not banned from using the decking areas between 2100 hrs and 0800 hrs and have to tolerate you removing the site dustbins thus forcing the elderly and disabled to carry their refuse the entire length of the site,I am pleased to say that the Warren has NOT fallen into a state of anarchy and lawlessness. Thanks again to the present team for giving us back our special site.

Despite only booking one night for a tent with no extras, I was given a wonderful welcome as thought I had booked my entire summer at the site. I found the facilities excellent and very clean. I was also helped in ordering a delivered take-away from a wonderful Nepalese restaurant, I believe run by ex-Gurkhas. The food was incredible. The sea was just a stones-throw away and the views were magnificent. I can highly recommend this site.
