This was our first foray with C&CC, and it was a good choice.

This was our first foray with C&CC, and it was a good choice. The site was easy to find, and pretty easy to get into and out of with our long caravan. Very level ground and well landscaped, with hedges, borders with lavender and roses breaking up the various areas of the site. Water was easy to find and use (hose was attached) and besides the easily accessible soil water disposal, was a single toilet for those travelling without (or who couldn't wait!) If you want electric hookup - don't bother though I have to say that one or two caravans had very loud generators that they felt unnecessary to turn off until quite late. Another small quibble is there appear to be no shops within any easy distance other than a (very attractive) farm shop a few miles up the road. So don't forget your milk! Other than that, although there was a rally on in the next garden area, we would never have known. If you want peace and quiet in attractive surroundings, numerous footpaths plus the North Downs Way on your doorstep and easy access to absolutely gorgeous surrounding villages - then this will be for you!

We have been coming here for many years now and found that at the beginning the entrance was a little tight but as long as you were a careful driver most Caravans, Motorhomes could enter with safety.(we have a medium -large size unit ( and have never even scratched it) But now the owner has moved the meters etc (at great expense) located by the entrance and you could now get a bus through without difficulty ! It is a lovely site and a great place to relax, also a very handy stop for the Ferry as it is only just down the road at Dover.

On reading the previous two reviews, was interested in the first regarding access to the site. I have been using this site for nearlly twenty years, and though the entrance to the site looked daunting was used often by a four wheel caravan with no problem. I can now add that the entrance has been much widened so access to the sight is much easier. I would like also to say that it has always been a friendly and beautiful place to visit,, with the grass always nicely cut, and the site as a whole very clean.

Quiet site and close to North Downs Way.

This review is for School Lodge

Quiet site and close to North Downs Way. However access is EXTREMELY difficult, especially when towing a twin axle caravan. Could only recommend if you have a small outfit. Understand a number of caravans have been damaged due to obstruction at the entrance to the site and narrow lane which also restricts access. Frankly am surprised that no 'Caution' notice to this problem has been made within the general site description !
