Our Club Site on the beautiful Isle of Skye

Head to Loch Greshornish on the beautiful Isle of Skye and you’ll find our Skye Club campsite. It boasts an idyllic location right on the loch shore where campers enjoy stunning views over the water to the hills beyond.

The campsite is on a working croft. Magnificent Highland cattle and sheep graze close by and you can buy fresh laid duck and hen eggs at the site shop along with most essentials. There are hardstandings for caravanners and motorhomers with plenty of these pitches enjoying the views. You can go glamping at Skye campsite too. Two camping pods provide cosy accommodation for those who perhaps fancy leaving their own units at home.

A visit to Dunvegan Castle on the Isle’s west coast is a must. It sits on a rocky outcrop betwixt sea and manicured gardens. Seal spotting boat trips operate from the castle jetty. Not far from the castle Caligan Coral beach is a fantastic place to spend the day. Portree is the main town on Skye, set round a harbour you’ll find the Aros Centre. As well as theatre, films and concerts it’s here you’ll find out more about the Isle through a series of exhibitions.

To catch a glimpse of the sea eagles catch a boat from the harbour.

We only stayed one night due to horrendous weather.

This review is for Skye

We only stayed one night due to horrendous weather. The staff informed us when we arrived that it wouldn't be wise to put up our awning as they were expecting 40MPH winds. This proved to be very good advice. We left after one night due to weather. This is no reflection on the site. I am sure Skye is beautiful, when you can see it.

Great position overlooking the loch.

Great position overlooking the loch. A well run site - our position near the waters edge was lovely and despite the site having a high daily turnover the comings and goings didn't affect us. An half hour walk along the roadside to the village and an excellent refurbished pub with good food and ales. A shortcut to the road via a footpath over the adjoining field would be a good improvement. Disappointing that no local walking routes were available on site , but several suggested routes from Duncan (site assistant) proved excellent and were much appreciated.

Spent 3 days on this site. It is beautiful you look out at the sea loch you can get down to the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The site facilities were excellent. Highland cows in the field adjoining the site. We visited Portree and travelled up to the tip of the island. We went to the museum of island life which was really interesting the landscape is out of this world we will definitely visit again
