3 week stay with 2 caravans.

This review is for Dyfria Farm

3 week stay with 2 caravans. Good weather but had down pours overnight and site drained off really well & stayed firm for the vehicles. There is a hard road to within 40 metres of all pitches. Access good from Rhosneigr end where the owner has helped get passing places. Take your time its relatively easy to get your unit in and mines a 20 footer. The owners are fantastic. Bruce helped me change a wheel on the caravan with his trolley jack. He also lent us another mains lead and 2 way splitter to keep our families together. There are choices to where you can pitch which we found refreshing as so many owners dictate where you should go nowdays. There's behind big hedgerow for wind shelter, the far end of the field which has great views of the distant sea and the airfield (non commercial..just the interseting jetplanes which didn't seem to fly early morning or into the later evening) You can go near the water supply or near the toilet block as well. The grass is always kept short and we even played tennis on it a few times. There is loads of space for children to play in the field. The site is dog friendly but the dogs were all well behaved. The owners were the type of people who helped if you needed it but more importantly, left you alone as well if that's what you like. The toilet block was just about finished and had two rooms, each with a toilet and good shower and changing space with a sink and mirror. If I could change anything it maybe to have the toilets separate from showers but it was full, busy and we didn't wait much. The wash up has 2 sinks and a washing machine and is indoors next to the toilets. The site is good value for money, easy to get to from A55, quiet, spacious, well maintained is near the sea (5 mins by car and 30-40 on foot along paths) The owners are the icing on the cake though. The Oyster Catcher pub is brilliant (about 5 min drive). Campers..The grass is short and flat and soft for pegs.

We have just returned from 1 week stay at Dyfria Farm & we really enjoyed ourelves. We wanted somewhere with good views where we could relax after a days sightseeing. This site gave us this in shedloads. The views were fantastic, the site was quiet(now the kids are back at school) and Bruce & Joyce were very friendly and so helpful - we had a problem with our fridge & we mentioned it to Bruce. About 1 hour later Joyce came over to tell us that they had put a fridge in the food prep area for us to use until ours was sorted. How nice is that??? The site is not far from RAF Valley & we loved watching the planes & helicopters landing & taking off- (the noise didn't put us off). The toilet/showers were very clean and the grass was cut short -almost as good as a golf course. Well done Bruce. Many thanx to Bruce & Joyce for making our stay so wonderful. & cheers to Simon for our papers

This is a lovely site only a 40 minute stroll to the beach with a pram and 2 children less without hindrance. It is nice and level with lovely views. As with all of Anglesey there is a lot of aircraft activity great for the keen photographer and views of sheep, cows and horses. The facilities were spotless and well laid out. The children loved playing in a reasonably safe environment. Nothing but positives to say, close enough to the beach without the mayhem and plenty to do around the Island if wet and lots of footpaths around for walkers. The owner lent us a spare hook up cable as it was quite a distance from the hook up point and we had a stunning spot. The grass was well kept and bins emptied regularly. I have no doubt that this will become a popular destination once the word gets out ! We didn't want to leave and were sorry we didn't book for longer.

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Dyfria Farm.

This review is for Dyfria Farm

We have just returned from a lovely weekend at Dyfria Farm. The site is well situated about a 5-10 minute drive from rhosneiger where there are local shops for provisions. Beautiful views of the island and the local sheep! The site is small, currently one large field. The ground drains very well and although has the odd rock, we found pitching our tent easy enough. Lovely new toilet block with two toilet/shower/sink rooms and a central wash room for pots and pans and washing machine. Bruce, the owner is an absolute delight. He was ever so welcoming and friendly. As a result, I was not surprised to discover repeat visitors on site. We are returning again and shall continue to do so. If you want a quiet, tucked away small and friendly site, then this is for you.
