Stayed here for 3 nights with my partner, lots of space to choose from when we arrived and as it was our first time with the trailer tent we opted to go for a hard standing pitch at the far side of a large hedge. Glad we did, great views over a valley that used to contain a lake, now dried up, lots of wild life and very peaceful. One night we got strong winds directly onto the trailer tent from the valley, I was fine with this, but my partner was not too keen, however, we found that the main field at the other side of the hedge was a lot more sheltered and more suitable for tents, should wind prevail. The site is secluded in the countryside down a narrow lane, not too far from the main road and is central to most places of interest. There is an ASDA supermarket in the nearest town not too far away, good for supplies. Toilets and the 2 shower rooms were clean with a shower room at each end of the main field. Electric hook up facilities looked to be available for most pitches. Particulally liked the Pig Inn, a very unique and charming small bar set amongst old pig pens, which serves real ale. Site is best suited for couples or families wanting to stay in a quiet, friendly location. Great people, great place, hopefully going back soon.

A wonderful, quiet site with a great host who will do his best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Basic facilities of several toilets, washing up station, 1 shower (although more are planned for the near future) 1 washing machine & 1 tumble dryer and a WDP. The nearest well stocked shop is little over a mile away, with supermarkets, a camping shop (gas refils) and a town centre a little over 3 miles. Easy access to most of the island. A slightly sloping field with nice views of the local farmland and the SSSI which is attached to the campsite. The Pig Inn (once a piggery I'm told), is a lovely snug little bar situated at the bottom of the site and while we were there a couple of excellent real ales were available at very good prices. Outside 'The Pig' is a large covered area with picnic tables. The whole family enjoyed every minute of our stay, and it won't be long before we return!
