    Top site for fishing

Loch Ness Shores are looking forward to welcoming you.

Scotland’s most famous loch is the stunning backdrop for the Club’s new campsite in the Scottish Highlands. The aptly-named Loch Ness Shores Club campsite is located on the quieter south shore near the village of Foyers.

This 99 pitch, all-year-round campsite enjoys panoramic views around Loch Ness to the mountains beyond and is the perfect base for exploring the area’s historic sites like the magnificent Urquhart Castle, the charming towns and villages of Fort Augustus, Cannich and Drumnadrochit, or for getting active whether it be on foot, bike or boat.

The site itself has excellent eco credentials, including using innovative green technologies to heat and light the top notch facilities which include an amenity block with under floor heating and home from home shower rooms, an on-site shop and wi-fi. Boats (suitable for fishing) and canoes are available to hire on site.

Brilliant Loch-side campsite, in only its 3rd year of existence, has great pitches available...

Brilliant Loch-side campsite, in only its 3rd year of existence, has great pitches available all year, wigwams very very popular and comfortable too. Lots of space around pitches, and good shop facilities in Reception. The permanent, wheel-less, on-site Airstream Caravan "Diner" served hot take-a-way breakfasts and dinners which were very welcome. A couple of cafes within a couple of miles! Big shopping has to be done in Inverness or Fort Ugustus! or delivered by Tesco! The Site Owner and Head Warder Donald was superb; friendly but firm when necessary too, on top of the job, with a great team supporting him. Reception has a seating area with tables, with wifi available, hot drinks dispensing machine, public toilets too (very useful when the main facilities block is being cleaned)! A really good site and lovely atmosphere. Pity that Nessie had gone AWOL and hadnt been seen anywhere for 8 months (April 2017).

The site has some lovely walks around it, great for taking a your dog on holiday with you. A good play area for children located at eh rear of the site, which was safe and secure away from any vehicles. Fantastic views of Loch Ness. Very friendly and very welcoming. Shower block spotlessly clean.

Road in to site was long and narrow, but with a good provision of passing places. Location is remote, 30 mins from Inverness but scenery superb and if you're looking for some peace and fresh air this is the site for you. We travelled with kids (8 & 10) and dog and they LOVED it - there's a little beach beside site with rope swings and also a play park at the far side of the site so they spent hours outdoors and slept well!! The village shop is a drive away as the village is on a steep slope with rough roads. Shop on site is trying to be too artisan with farm shop style produce, could do with stocking some 'normal' necessities that would appeal to all. My only slight negative moan would be the girls on reception could do with explaining the site better (location of facilities, water, bins, dog walk etc) as we were simply told to find a pitch and the warden (who, incidentally was lovely). One girl didn't know where the grey waste disposal was and with so many units being hired motorhome units it's worth explaining to avoid incidents. On site is an American airstream caravan that provides breakfast cooked rolls and simple evening meals. There are a few wigwam/pods on site too that look lovely. Great walks surrounding site. In all it was a very peaceful and relaxing break, once we got over the remote location we made the most of it and completely switched off from our normal busy lives, batteries recharged!
