    Top site for beaches

Beautifully located between the beaches of the Moray Firth and the hills.

Our Rosemarkie Club campsite on Scotland’s Black Isle sits right on the edge of a half-moon bay, flanked by hills and woodland on one side and the stunning Moray Firth on the other. If it’s dolphins you’ve come to see, you won’t have to look too far. The lighthouse, just a short walk from the site is the ideal place.

Campers will enjoy superb views over the Moray Firth to Fort George from many of the pitches here and a walk along the sand from the site brings you to the Faerie Glen. Rosemarkie village is famous for its Pictish stones housed in the Groam House Museum. There’s a pleasant beach extending all the way to Channory Point and a community-run beach café.

Fortrose boasts a ruined cathedral and several restaurants and tearooms. Hidden from most of the town and only reachable by narrow, twisting roads, is a very pretty harbour offering many leisure pursuits and a peaceful and secluded beach.

The more lively Inverness is close by. Sitting on the banks of the River Ness, the town is dominated by a pink crenelated castle. The towns offer many places of interest to visit as well as shops, eating places and a Victorian market.

Nature lovers can take a boat from Avoch Harbour or Cromarty to see dolphins. Or visit Munlochy Bay to spot wading birds, ducks and migratory birds, or feed ducks, geese and swans at Black Isle Wildlife and Country Park.

Lovely location and known for its Dolphin population to be seen off Channory Point Lighthouse about half mile walk along the beach from the site. Various eating establishments in Fortrose and Rosemarkie but we really enjoyed the Golf Club Restaurant at the site. We had a 3 course meal, not huge portions but very nice, for four people incl two glasses wine, Pint of Belhaven and a large whisky for under 25 each. Walks are easy access from the site so no driving required to go anywhere. The local butcher in Fortrose provided me with lovely fillet steaks which we cooked in the caravan. Overall a great site and worth a visit.

Hi, A very nice site but it gets a bit breezy with the tide, wonderful views from caravan windows, wardens nice and friendly site is well kept all grass pitches but very hard underneath so rock pegs a must, i agree with a previous comment why is it at the higher price bracket when there is a road running through the site and no security barrier, toilet block spotless but old same with disabled facilities good showers, good chippy in the village which has all the amenities and within walking distance.....

This is a well kept site by the friendly staff; the site is mostly flat but no hard standings, the amenities block is old and somewhat small, there is a road running next to the site this splits it up, the only thing between you and the traffic is a rope, the road has very little traffic on it but if you have small children be aware of the dangers, the only negative thing I can say is that considering the amenities block and the road is why is this site in the upper bracket of the prising structure, I would have thought that it would have been in the middle pricing and not at the top end, the golf club next to the site is well worth a visit for meal, also you must go and see the dolphins, all in all a good location well kept but a bit pricey.
