Explore the Highlands from this peaceful Scottish campsite.
Our Club campsite at Dingwall sits at the head of the Cromarty Firth and is ideally located for exploring the Scottish Highlands and the wooded Black Isle.
This pretty campsite caters for all unit types; it is well laid out and level, with many pitches bounded by trees and hedges, ensuring you’re perfectly pitched to enjoy a relaxing break. The market town of Dingwall is close by offering a range of shops, a supermarket and restaurants. You can catch a train from here to Kyle of Lochlash on the West coast; a stunning route taking in some of Scotland’s most beautiful scenery.
If you enjoy walking, the Dingwall Heritage Trail passes the campsite and follows the River Peffery to a picnic area on the Cromarty Firth. Head to Evanton and Fyrish Hill for other walking opportunities.
Wildlife lovers can spot dolphins at Cromarty, whilst Red Kites can be seen on the Black Isle. To view osprey, visit Udale Bay, part of the Firth shoreline where birdwatchers can also scan for waders and wildfowl.
To sample the local culture, visit the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer with the Highland Museum of Childhood or enjoy a tasting and tour at the Black Isle Brewery, Munlochy.

This is a well located, nicely laid-out site. Walking distance to local shops and facilities. The station is very close allowing journeys to Inverness, Thurso and especially th efabulous journey to Kyle of lochalsh (Skye) - best to book with a seat reservation as the 9.29 train can get very busy. Strongly recommend the newly opened Victoria Restaurant in town.
The site is newly refurbished and whilst we were there the internet was down (a BT fault) otherwise everything worked well; staff very helpful and pleasent.

Managers Tina & Ray keep the site beautiful. They are pleasant & helpful on arrival & went out of their way to help us chose a suitable site. Very impressed at how polite, patient & professional they were in dealing with a couple who had moved pitch without advising them.
Definitely recommend this site.
Site is next to a railway line, but not busy & I did not find this a problem.

This review is for Dingwall
New toilet block is a gem, staff very helpful in every way (even allowed us to move our van while we went to the football so our Westie didn't feel alone). Great site, good walk along the bank with or without a dog with stunning views towards Cromarty Firth. If you like football and Ross county are playing would recommend going, it's a wonderful club and great ground, but if not please don't be put off, even when they are playing its hardly noisy\busy like Old Trafford. In all would recommend this site, it's ideally suited for trips to the real Highlands or West coast.
