This campsite is just to the north of England's capital in the home county of Hertfordshire, with the bright lights of London in easy reach.
The secluded, woodland setting of our Theobalds Park Club campsite belies its location just inside London’s orbital M25 motorway. Although just off the M25 the campsite is in the heart of the Hertfordshire countryside. The nearby Lee Valley Park will appeal to nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and fishermen. While further west woodland, grassland, heath, rivers and ponds make up the vast expanse of Epping Forest, the largest public open space in the London area.
This well laid out, level campsite offers open camping areas and a choice of grass and hard stand pitches. Modern facilities, a children’s play area and dog walk service the needs of all types of camper.
At just 15 miles from the capital this campsite is an excellent base from which to explore London. Catch a train from Waltham Cross to enjoy the city’s fantastic shopping, varied eateries and bars and landmarks such as Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Tower Bridge, Olympic Park and more

Down side was the noise from the music festival which was a one off, The fireworks from the near by Hotel were a problem for the dogs on the site. Very loud and no warning, we were lucky we managed to get in the dog in the van before the really big bangs went off!

We have visited this site several times, and it is always a pleasure to return to it. The wardens are always helpful, and friendly, and the facilities are excellent.
We shall be returning quite soon, as it easy to get into London, where there is always something to see.

Very surprised by the location of the site - Within the M25 but felt as if you were in the Country.
Site Staff really friendly.
Local pubs served good food and plenty of other places less than a mile down the road.
Public Transport close by so easy to get to the centre of London.
Only niggle that cant be helped was the constant background noise of the motorway but we got used to that so all in all a clean well kept site that we would use again.

We booked the site to visit our family who live nearby.
The site was, as we would expect, excellently maintained, well drained and organised.
Our only negative comment is that the M25 and A10 junction are very close and there is perpetual noise from those roads right through the night. Not conducive to a good nights sleep.
I suppose we should have expected that when you consider the location of the site.
