Very nice site if all you are looking for are nice views. The new toilet shed looks nice but the lights don't seem to work. The old toilet shed is very rough, with gaps in the toilet doors, very uneven floors and whilst we were their a hot water tank that leaked all over the floor and made the grass, outside the toilet shed, like a swamp. The so called electric hook ups are not very good it seems that every one who pays for a hook up is plugged into the same breaker box either directly or via extension leads that are plugged into 4 way extension leads along with other campers and pieces of site equipment i.e. fridge freezers and hot water tanks. All this being plugged into together meant that I could not even run the fridge in my caravan it kept alarming under voltage, the neighbouring caravan had the same problem.

Enjoyed another stay with Neil, and will be back.
This year there is the marvellous new log cabin shower and toilet building. That makes all the difference - now five toilets, four washrooms and two showers.
New miniature pigs and bottle-fed tame lambs are a delight. Masses to do near the site. would keep anyone busy for a fortnight.

Great campsite, very peaceful. The owner has a no music policy and it was great not to have to listen to other people's music/TV/radio. Great to be able to have a real campfire (you could even buy logs on site). Lots of useful tourist information, books and other items to borrow. A shop with an honesty box and useful/tasty items. Friendly helpful owner. Couldn't put 5 star for facilities but what was there was adequate and clean. This is not a site with a sparkling modern toilet block but I loved the quirky, rustic shack that was the toilet block, it added to the charm of the place. My 8 year old loved Elvis the pig, the guinea pigs, the goat feeding and best of all the tree swing. Definately a place to return to again and again.
