This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

Easy to find with lots of space, close to pub and tea rooms (serve breakfast) in quiet beautiful village.
This site is a large flat field directly off the 'main' village road so it is easy to find and no lanes to navigate. Approaching from Hereford to Leominster turn off for Eardisland and the site is on the right after the 30 mile per hour sign. However it is angled so that you are going back on yourself so you need to be looking out for it. It's called tadpole field and the cottage directly opposite, although not linked to the site, has a tadpole over the door. You can arrive anytime as the owner doesn't need to be there to show you onto the site.
It is a large field so there is lots of space to camp, play and avoid other campers. There is a tap, chemical toilet disposal point, rubbish and recycling area. The toilet is a proper flushing toilet housed in a portaloo cabin and was spotlessly clean with fresh towels and toilet paper.
The village is very pretty and the pub and tea rooms we went to were less than a ten minute walk away. The white swan served evening meals until 9pm but I would advise phoning ahead to let them know you were coming. It's a traditional pub with weekly quiz night etc and on the evening we went there was a singer/guitarist. Rita's tearoom next door serves all day breakfast and there are takeaway options.
Unfortunately we didn't see the campsite owner but there are contact numbers at the entrance to the field so we were able to organise leaving our payment.
It is difficult to fault this site, the loo is a bit of a squash (a disabled person may struggle). Excellent value for money.
We visited Hampton Court Castle a short drive away. The extensive gardens would suit adults and children (a maze, sunken garden, walk behind the waterfall). The house is very much an optional extra an amazing wedding venue but it cannot rival other historical houses you may visit in the UK.
