Overview

  • Campsites next to or within walking distance of a beach

    Top site for beaches

Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.

With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.

Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it has a relaxing ambience and is an ideal setting for kicking back and relaxing after a hectic day exploring the area.

Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.

For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.

Worth Noting

Electric security barriers in operation. Please note there is no parking for visitors and, because of the narrow entrance road, there are no overnight parking facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

The purpose of our stay was to revisit the Naval Dockyard.

The purpose of our stay was to revisit the Naval Dockyard. This worked well as the bus stop adjacent to the site took us straight there. We ate in the Travellers Joy - the food was ok but the service was rather slow. We also took the bus to Hayling Island. Shopping and dining at Gun Wharf Quay was good. We didn't get to Chichester or Bognor but maybe next time.

A lovely site managed by such lovely friendly, supportive wardens.

A lovely site managed by such lovely friendly, supportive wardens. Our first visit to this area and will definitely return. Tucked away from everything however close enough to many local places of interest including beautiful Chichester with many shops and places to visit. Managed trips to historic Portsmouth and Southhampton too. Loved local West Wittering beach with its expanse of sandy beaches and dunes. Amazing fish and chips too at local Bosham village where a short drive to the Quay saw us having tea overlooking beautiful backdrop of waterway. Stunning. A weeks stay on this site gave perfect feel good factor. Can't wait to return in the future.
