Overview

    Top site for beaches

Explore the beauty of England's south coast from our campsite.

With cycling and walking trails in abundance, miles of sandy beaches, bustling towns, pretty chocolate box villages and a host of family attractions within a short distance our Chichester Club Campsite offers something for everyone.

Chichester is a small, welcoming campsite. Once an orchard it has a relaxing ambience and is an ideal setting for kicking back and relaxing after a hectic day exploring the area.

Head across the road on foot or two wheels to enjoy the paths to the coast and Chichester harbour. Or catch a bus from outside the site to Chichester (great for shopping), Bognor, Littlehampton and Brighton in one direction and Southampton and Portsmouth (with the Spinnaker Tower, Gunwharf Keys and the Historic Dockyard) in the other.

For a bucket and space day head to the Blue Flag beach at West Wittering where you’ll find sand dunes, sheltered waters and acres of space. East Head and Selsey too are great for lazy beach days.

Worth Noting

Electric security barriers in operation. Please note there is no parking for visitors and, because of the narrow entrance road, there are no overnight parking facilities.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Chichester hosts a farmers' market twice a month. Southbourne farm shop near to site sells a range of local products and the Tupenny Barn sells organic fruit and vegetables.

What a little gem! The site is flat, very clean and quiet. We didn't see any wasps and the windfall apples were great fun for the kids to collect. The toilets were ALWAYS clean, whatever time of day or night, and there was plenty of hot water in the clean showers. The laundry and washing up facilities were also very clean. I loved the security of the site and was happy for the kids to wander around on their own. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. West Wittering beach is not far and is beautiful (car parking is expensive though) and the Portsmouth historic dockyard is only 20 mins away and took 2 days to explore everything. I have recommended this site to our camping friends and hope to come back again in future.

Couldn't sit outside - too cramped, noisy dogs and kids, and swarming with wasps because the site is full of fruit trees with rotting windfalls everywhere. Stayed in town for as long as possible, then had to sit inside with fly screens up. Other campers walking right under our noses to and from loos instead of keeping to paths. Old, tired facilities, poor loo flush. Not very clean. Too many pitches for size of site. Good bus route for Chichester/Portsmouth but there are plenty of other sites/CLs around. Good TV signal. We won't be going back again I'm afraid.

the only drawback if you are on grass is the hook up which on some pitches is directly behind were you would normally put the awningwhich in our case we could not use the annexe, all the other sites I have been on the hook ups are located behind the van so this not become an issue.this site is very popular but is relatively small surely the club could invest a bit of money & organize the pitches better.
