A great site, very friendly and helpful staff, located on former aircraft dispersal hardstandings. Great for walking the dog, lots of new forest ponies (day) and deer (at night). All in all, a nice place to stopover.

The campsite itself is lovely BUT do not underestimate the noise from the nearby motorway.

The campsite itself is lovely BUT do not underestimate the noise from the nearby motorway. I live in London, 2 blocks from the North Circular and the noise from the motorway kept me awake all night, it just did not let up! On our first night also, unfortunately, there was a group of drunken people who swore and carried on until well after 2 am. Given the many children at the site I'm surprised nobody complained directly to them, although my husband said that's probably because of fear of violence, which given the language was likely. We complained to the site manager and the offenders were asked to leave the next day. Well done to the managers but that was half our 2 day stay ruined. Lovely forest walks, but real pity about the motorway.

Lovely quiet campsite. Staff really friendly. Only stayed one night but would happily come back. Very easy access from motorway. You could hear road noise but not that much of a problem. A basic site, but great if you like it simple.
