Enjoy the tranquillity of the Snowdonia National Park from this peaceful rural site.

Our Bala Club campsite boasts an idyllic rural location just outside the eastern boundary of the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and six miles north of the lake after which it is named. Surrounded by amazing scenery, Bala campsite is the ideal base for exploring the attractions of north Wales.

The pretty and secluded 50 pitch site is level and well maintained with a good range of facilities including toilets, showers, laundry, a small children’s play area and a small dog walk. A short drive away, the town of Bala offer a variety of shops, a petrol station and places to eat. Sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fishing are all possible on Bala Lake and there are good walks and cycle routes from here too. Bala Lake Railway and the Ffestiniog Railways are great ways to take in the local scenery.

Less than an hour’s drive from Bala campsite is Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak. Scale its heights on foot or catch the train to the summit.

Local resorts with good sandy beaches include Prestatyn, Rhyl, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno, Harlech, Barmouth Fairbourne and Aberdovey.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

A lovely peaceful site, very well managed and maintained by excellent staff. My only slight moan, which is nothing to do with the camping, is with the footpaths adjacent to the site. Took me 70 mins to 'run' the circiut from the campsite - Ty'n-y-bryn - Rhos Dawel - Llwyniolyn - campsite (lots of bogs, gorse and difficult wayfinding). Also the path up to Foel Goch from Pentre-tai-yn-y-cwm was very hard going/boggy/difficult to follow. Also tried to walk from the campsite to Crynierth Mawr and beyond but there was nothing marked on the ground, the farmyard looked really rundown and there were angry caged dogs. We turned back. Maybe I was just unlucky. We had a meal at The Bryntirion Inn in Llandderfel which was very good and super dog friendly.

Despite having our own camping gear we booked a short break to the Bala site and stayed in a ready camp tent. The tent was well equipt, spotlessly clean and perfectly situated to suit our needs as a family, just 4 miles from Bala lake and just over half an hour to the beach and the same to Snowdon. The site hosts were all super friendly and the site was very well maintained. Fantastic location - we will be back!!
