Fantastic site, lovely people, with everything you could need. Our holiday saviours We found this site following the signs for a caf, we were at another site that was not suitable to us with the amount of road noise. When we found the caf it was on this listed site. The welcome we got just as caf users was so warm and friendly. We were told we could let our dogs out into the dog walk and give them a run. We asked if we could look around and we were told where everything is and left to go explore. We asked if it would be alright if we came stayed and explained about the other site. We had not had much sleep at the previous site and we wanted peace and quite. The owners gave us a pitch away from everyone to give us as much quiet as they could and it was bliss. We slept great and felt better. We initially booked for five nights but ended up staying an extra night. The showers and toilets were kept spotless, the weekend got busy but nothing was left unsightly. This is a true family run site, the owners made us feel like we were part of the family. They were never intrusive but great when we used the caf or walking around the site. The shop has essentials and sweets. The bar seemed a hit at the weekend (open Friday and Saturday evenings) although we didn't visit. This is a dog friendly site with designated dog walk in the orchard which was lovely and for a longer walk you could go around the fields opposite. The kiddies play area was a hit over the weekend. This is a relaxed peaceful site with everything you could need and is large and spacious it is in a great location for visiting the Forest of Dean, South Wales and the Cotswolds. We are already planning a return. Can't promote this site enough you can check their website for details on prices and camping pods.
