Well kept large site with friendly helpful owner.

This review is for Seven Acres

Well kept large site with friendly helpful owner. Great for walking and cycling in some fabulous countryside provided you like hills!! We had a wonderful few days on this site. The facilities are basic with a toilet but no showers so on-board shower useful! There was loads of room and the instructions were "pitch wherever you want" which we did, the only constraint was being within cable reach of the electric hook up point. We went on several walks with our Hound including walking to a lovely pub in the village of Miserden for lunch, highly recommended, although walk is a six mile round trip. It was possible to access a network of paths and bridleways directly from the site. We did use some of the lanes as well and generally found these to be quiet with drivers slowing down and giving us plenty of room. All the natives we came across also seemed very friendly! I also rode my mountain bike, but would say some of the lanes are extremely steep and with some fairly poor road surfaces in places so not really an area for the inexperienced. We weren't on a sightseeing trip this time, but would say that Gloucester, Stroud, Cheltenham and the Cotswold main tourist attractions are all within easy reach and there was plenty of tourist info in a hut close to the site entrance.

Good sheltered flat site, well kept with electric hookup ideal for our stay. This site is within a scenic area near to Stroud. If you have on board facilities it is an ideal spot to explore the area and enjoy this site for what it is with its lovely woodland backdrop.

A lovely peaceful friendly site where we camped in our tent.

This review is for Seven Acres

A lovely peaceful friendly site where we camped in our tent. It's dog friendly and there's plenty space to let them off lead for exercise. There's a nice forest walk at the end of the site. Field is flat and cut nice and tidy. Basic toilet and wash basin are very clean.(There are electric hook ups for vans). Ideal for older couple with dogs or those who are happy with basic things. Short drive from town and village. We only spoke to the owner over the phone but they were very friendly and helpful. We left the fee in the post box. We would definitely stay again.
