Top site for fishing
On-site fishing available and the Cotswolds within easy driving distance.
You’ll find our pretty Winchcombe Club campsite in the heart of the Cotswolds. Its location near the village of Alderton makes this campsite the perfect base for exploring the area’s pretty honey-colour limestone towns and villages. It’s great walking country too. ¬For starters there’s the Winchcombe way. This 42-mile, figure-of-eight trail runs adjacent to the campsite.
Winchcombe is a charming, quiet little site with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The focal point of the site is its carp pool – attractive not only to fishermen but an abundance of friendly birdlife too. Bag yourself a pool-side pitch and enjoy a prime fishing spot.
The site has excellent toilet and shower facilities, a games room and dog walk. And the site shop stocks a variety of local produce from nearby farms, dairies, butchers and bakers. There’s even a fish and chip van that drops in a couple of times a week.
The attractive town of Winchcombe is a short drive from the site. It has Walkers are Welcome status and a tempting variety of top restaurants, pubs and tea shops. Further afield Cheltenham with its elegant Regency houses, award-wining gardens and stylish shops is worth visiting.
Self-catering accommodation is available at this campsite.

Excellent site, especially with the recent opening up of the views over the lake. Site staff were extremely welcoming and worked hard to keep the facilities spotless. They even walked the site on gusty days to protect awnings etc. and to top it all arranged delivery of my weekly Motorcycle News. See you in 2014.

First visit but wont be the last! Friendly check in service, smiling reception staff...lovely site. Lots of planted containers around the entrance, giving that welcoming first impression. Fresh flowers in both female and male toilets, another little touch that makes a difference. Facilities block all kept clean and tidy...which must have been difficult given the inclement weather. All in all a really nice site, worthy of my 5 stars.
