Buzzard,Butterflies and Bats. A perfect site for a peaceful stay.

This review is for Oakside Farm Campsite

Buzzard,Butterflies and Bats. A perfect site for a peaceful stay.Large field, well maintained,Clover rich grass, surrounded by Oaks and other mature trees.Wonderful views of the South Downs, with plenty of wildlife to observe and walks around field perimeters and surrounding lanes.Site suitable for all types of camping.During our 3 day stay, other Motor homes and tented campers enjoyed this gem of a CS. We would recommend it to individuals, families, couples alike. If you are a dog owner,as we are,a perfect choice as the poop a scoop rule is well observed and in such a large field you have a huge amount of space between units. The owners Karen and Peter work hard to keep the site lovely, they are delightful, and could not make you feel more welcome. They have an information brochure that could win a prize ! everything you need to know is listed, plenty of places to see, things to do etc in the area, pubs nearby and various stores in Ringmer Village,2 miles away ----including excellent fish and chips.Good fresh water supply and waste disposal. You need your own facilities (but port a potties are available from owners ). Highly recommend this CS in every way.

This is a wonderful site.

This is a wonderful site. We were warmly welcomed and helped to find a pitch that would be suitable for us. The field is large mainly left as a hay meadow with paths cut through and the edge mowed to allow members to pitch up. We were in our element, the site was quiet, beautiful views of the South Downs and we had many moments enjoying chasing butterflies, moths and grasshoppers as well as watching the bats, red kite and house martins.
