Very pleasant site, good facilities with plenty of toilets, showers, washing up sinks, water...

Very pleasant site, good facilities with plenty of toilets, showers, washing up sinks, water taps etc. And very dog friendly too! The site has a well stocked shop, plentiful toilets and showers (as usual borderline too hot!) and large clearly numbered pitches. The pitches are level and although not secluded they are large enough to be sufficiently away from neighbours. The farm walk is superb, great for children, adults and dogs (on leads obviously). You can see various wildfowl (both in runs and around the lake (picnic tables provided)), also donkeys, goats, Shetland ponies and pigs, a very pleasant stroll. Pevensey Castle is about 10 minutes walk along with the rest of the village which has interesting buildings and a couple of pubs (the one near the castle gate is dog friendly). Battle is around 13 miles and the Kent and East Sussex Railway slightly further, with Eastbourne, Hastings and other major seaside resorts easily accessible either by car or by the regular train service (Pevensey and Westham station 200 yards from the site). All in all a highly recommended site.

This site is perfect for anyone with children (we had 5 with us). It's safe and the animals are an excellent distraction for younger children. It has everything you need, clean and nice showers. We will definitely be back.

Our first stay and I'm sure we will return.

This review is for Fairfields Farm

Our first stay and I'm sure we will return. It was half term when we went and consequently quite a few young children around - their behaviour was exemplary and an absolute credit to their parents. The fishing lake is quite small and quite well defended by the geese - if you have young children I doubt you would find a more suitable site, very professionally set up and run. The visitor charge seemed a bit harsh, but otherwise excellent.

We stayed as members of a rally of 15 units.

This review is for Fairfields Farm

We stayed as members of a rally of 15 units. The rally was positioned on the main site, all with EHU. No unit was more than 2 pitches away from drinking water. There was plenty of hot water in the showers, vegetable prep area and laundry. Reception was adequately stocked & the Owners and Warden were very helpful. In addition to the site, there is a fishing lake and an added attraction of farm birds and animals including pigmy pigs, goats, peacocks, ponies. The owners have handwashing points in the animal area to allow handwashing after making a fuss of the animals. The bus to Eastbourne/Hastings is about 20mins walk away, which we used on a couple of occasions. Pevensey Castle is 10mins walk away & is a great place for picnics. For us, the site was worth travelling to from the Midlands.
