Stayed on 2 separate occasions in August and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Simple camping at it's best. Huge field to camp in, so even if other people are staying, there is so much room, you hardly notice anyone else is there. There are great views of the sky at night as there is such little light pollution. We were lucky enough to see some of the comet displays in early August. This site has the added bonus of a toilet, which is really good. The owners are really friendly and helpful. There are great walks from the site, and we would recommend a walk to the nearby village of Waldron which has a shop, pub and church. Great value for money - we'll definitely be visiting again.

This site is amazing - 3 Acres of grassed field with views across rolling countryside and a portaloo as a bonus! There is a small wooded area in the middle and Mathew the owner is happy for use of firepits by responsible campers. This is an ideal location for getting away from it all and getting back to basics at a bargain price. The site is ideally placed for easy access to the Sussex coast at 20 miles, as well as a good few National Trust and English Heritage sites. There are lots of walks close by, and the fabulous Star Inn at Waldron is a short distance by road or footpath. We visited the site over the late May Bank Holiday and had the site all to ourselves! Make sure you explore all around before you make your pitch as there is loads of space and variety. We will definitely be back!
