We booked this site because of the close proximity to family in Withernsea and we didn't want to stay on the big static caravan sites there. It is handy for visiting Hull, 2017 City of Culture and the events going on there. The Deep is good for children and Ferens Art Gallery, The Maritime Museum and Wilberforce House are good places for adults to visit and find out about Hull's heritage. The market town of Beverley with its beautiful Minster is worth a day out, you may be lucky and be there when the races are on. The nearest town to the site is the small seaside resort if Withernsea with its beach and amusement arcades. It took us 30 minutes to walk there but you can catch a bus. There are a few cafes serving breakfast and lunches but they don't stay open in the evening for meals. The Bengal Lancer seems to be the only restaurant but the pubs may serve meals. There is a Tesco and an Aldi supermarket but the only petrol station is quite expensive so try to fill up in Hull, Tesco in St Stephens or Asda near Hessle Road are usually the cheapest. Children might enjoy climbing the steps to the top of the lighthouse, which is also a museum and has a small tearoom and pleasant gardens.

Lovely half term break with kids We had a fantastic time here during May half term - such a lovely peaceful and sunny campsite, clean and well kept. Kids loved the playground. Owners were really friendly and even helped my friend with putting up her tent. Everything we needed was close by, just perfect for a chilled break with Withernsea and shops a short drive away. We will certainly be back.

Fantastic site, immaculate grounds & facilities. Mark & Susie very welcoming. Brilliant play area for the children, safe & away from roads. 10 minute bike ride to the beach, not accessible for people who may struggle to climb down but Withernsea is close by, which is flat. The children's play area is fantastic. Keeps your children occupied for hours! The site has an immaculatly clean shower & toilet block. Has washing up facilities & a communal fridge to cool drinks etc. Surrounded by fields, really peaceful. We'll definitely be back.
