Overview

    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can see puffins, seal pups and dolphins.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

The WiFi service is excellent throughout the campsite. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site, and Dunbar High Street consists of almost entirely independent shops including numerous cafés, an organic greengrocer, community bakery, and a wet fish shop.

Having not been to Scotland in a van before, this was for me a good place to stop for a few days, It has bicycle lanes to the local Superstore and a garden centre along with a Marston's Pub, that sells food and drinks for all. A safe road to Dunbar for walking or cycling, the weather was Scotish rain wind and sunshine, with Sea views in the morning and Evening with a Beach a few minutes down the road, what more do you want. A play area for the kids and a swimming pool in Dunbar. So come and enjoy

The site was perfect for our one night weekend stay.

This review is for Dunbar

The site was perfect for our one night weekend stay. Great facilities on site and very close to Dunbar and North Berwick where we found a great range of places to eat and things to do. Would recommend the beach at Belhaven Bay and a wander round the harbours of both towns. We will be back for a longer stay soon!

Enjoyed my stay only downside was the long walk to empty rubbish and the shop closing from 10:30 until 1pm the bins were position beside reception up hill why do they not have them beside the water outlets like other sites do after all there are 6 wardens/assistants on this site for only 90 vans...surely this is a reasonable request

We have just spent a week here - the weather was amazing and we enjoyed the lovely sea views from our pitch. The site is kept very clean and tidy and the play park was a bit hit with our kids (age 7 & 10). We loved Dunbar & North Berwick and one day took the train into Edinburgh which is 20 mins away. There is an Asda very close by as well as a variety of shops & places to eat in Dunbar. Our children loved the local swimming pool with flume slide & wave machine. We have had a great family holiday and would love to return one day.
