Overview

    Top site for beaches

On Scotland's sunshine coast, to the east of the country's capital, Edinburgh.

Our peaceful Dunbar Club campsite is just a stone’s throw from the popular East Lothian seaside town of the same name and adjacent to Whitesands Bay - a long stretch of sandy surfing beach.

Spectacular landscapes surround the campsite, ensuring wherever you are pitched you have a stunning view. Seaward the impressive views extend over the Firth of Forth and Bass Rock – temporary nesting spot for 150,000 seabirds during peak season.

The campsite is well laid out and spacious with 90 pitches, some of which are hardstands. Modern facilities, including a wetsuit shower are available.

Dunbar, three miles from the campsite, offers shops, places to eat and more beaches. East beach, minutes from the town centre is great for bathing, paddle boarding and sea kayaking.

Inland other attractions include East Links Family Park with animals and a narrow gauge railway; the Museum of Flight at East Fortune and the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick, where you can see puffins, seal pups and dolphins.

Worth Noting

Most pitches have sea views and there is a large picnic area overlooking the coast. There is a large Sunday market/car boot sale every week at East Fortune ten miles from the site.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Belhaven Fruit Farm is four miles from site and Dunbar High Street has an organic greengrocer and a good butcher selling locally reared meat.

This is a lovely friendly site with amazing views & excellent managers.

This is a lovely friendly site with amazing views & excellent managers. There are lovely walks around to quiet secluded beaches. The toilets, showers, washing up & chemical disposal facilities were all kept very clean & tidy. The towns of Dunbar, North Berwick, Eyemouth are all well worth a visit & St Abbs Harbour & Coldingham Bay are a must. The scenery around the area & the views from the site are stunning. The only down side was the noise from the nearby wedding venue on the Saturday night but the music was good & was over by midnight! This would certainly not stop us from coming here again. We had a fabulous week, wished we could have stayed longer & will definitely be returning in the future

This was our first camping experience on our own with our 3 year old boy.We picked Dunbar for the coastal scenery and the ease of access to the town. The drive in is easy, you are greeted by very friendly wardens. I explained it was our first adventure and they could not have been more helpful. They met us at our pitch and made us feel very welcome. We felt at ease as soon as we pitched. The surroundings are beautiful. Forget the cement works that blot the East Lothian landscape on the drive in, you don't see it from the site. Instead you are surrounded by peaceful fields of swaying grass, chirping birds and in the distance you can hear the waves of the north sea crashing against the nearby coast. The site itself is lovely. The toilet block and cleaning facilities were of the highest standard. Our boy loved the enclosed play area which is far enough away not to be a nuisance to others. There are designated walks for dog owners and thankfully these paths were clean. The town of Dunbar is lovely. Just a 5 minute car journey away. There is a fantastic pool for the kids with slides and a wave machine. If you drive around the corner from the leisure centre heading out of Dunbar look out for an enclosed garden which is open to the public. It has a brilliant cafe (The Garden Path Cafe) and a fantastic play area for the kids. The high street has a good range of different shops. One flaw of our stay which is of no fault of the wardens is the nearby Broxmouth Park Wedding venue. On the Saturday night there was a function and the loud music could be heard where we were pitched. Caravan owners may not have this problem but admittedly it was a pain if you were looking to have a quiet night watching the stars. This will not stop us returning. We had a fantastic weekend at this brilliant site. Highly recommended.

A warm and friendly welcome by the staff, the facilities and whereabouts of all I needed to know and shown to my pitch. A very good dog walk which was free of any fouling and pleased to see that just about all other campers kept their dogs on a lead. The town of Dunbar is only about a ten minute drive with a fair shopping centre. I will certainly be coming here again
