Neil and Patricia were very welcoming to Solway View. Pitches are large and more than accommodated our caravan and awning. We loved it so much we went back again. The site is only a 5 mile journey to the Artist town of Kirkcudbright. Toilet and shower facilities are warm and very clean. Great area for walking our 3 furry weans. We will be back next season.

A lovely site with awesome views across the Solway, very secluded down a country road,a little hairy at times. Huge pitches with picnic bench and wood burned included, lovely dog walks around and a beautifull bay to run the dogs about 5 mins drive away at Brighouse. Easy access to A75 to tour around....overall excellent

Just returned a day early from this site. It is a lovely clean site with huge pitches and the added benefit of camp fires. However, downside dogs must be kept on leads at all times which everyone did not adhere too despite informing the owners of this. Even the surrounding area dogs must be on leads and not all of the walks in the vicinity are dogs allowed. Most places nearby were not dog friendly and we had to travel at least 20 miles to give them a decent walk. The play park can get extremely noisy from early morning until late evening which I found those who's pitches were further away were oblivious to the high pitched screaming of their children.
