Very odd at first sight, as it's a former (WW2) Ordnance factory, so loads of brick bomb shelters dotted round the area. All overgrown with thousands of trees and shrubs now, so much so it's been deemed a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Numerous large fishing lakes, very much appreciated by local anglers. Easy flat access, but care needed to stay on the road with a long car/caravan combination as a few tight-ish bends. We got there OK with a fifth wheel. Fairly minimal facilities. Enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Fantastic hideaway site Great site, very welcoming owner. Peaceful site tucked away down a narrow private access road. Very quite and private site with good facilities. Lovely walks round the fisheries and down to the shore of the Solway Firth. Will definitely visit again.

Carol welcomed us, we were then shown where to park up. We were thrilled to be able to park on the side of a lake.Peaceful nights. Lovely! You can come here even if you don't fish as there's something for everyone to see and do. Walk if you want to, stroll around, or just sit and chill out. It is the best site we have been on in 20yes of camping. But will we be able to park on it easily after this review?!!!
