The Purbeck Hills, award winning beaches and a castle make this a popular family site.
Our Club campsite at Corfe Castle lies at the foot of the
Purbeck Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has close
proximity to the Blue Flag award-winning Studland beach with four miles of
glorious sand and bustling Swanage with its pretty beach huts. Lulworth Cove and the iconic Durdle Dor on
the Jurassic Coastline are a must!
The campsite has an abundance of wildlife from badgers,
owls and pretty moths to beautiful wild flowers such as bluebells and
orchids. It’s also near to the Arne RSPB
nature reserve making this a great spot for lovers of the outdoors.
You will find a beach if you walk in any direction from
the campsite and nearby Coombe Bridge offers a marine reserve and snorkelling
whilst Poole Harbour has watersports for the more adventurous! A leisurely 15 minute walk from site finds
you at Corfe Castle, a stunning ruin from the English Civil War whose iconic
silhouette can be seen from miles around. The pretty grey stone village of
Corfe Castle lies in the shadow of the romantic castle ruins. Around its square
is a cluster of tearooms, trinket shops and pubs.
Our family-friendly campsite offers a mix of hardstanding
and grass pitches, some of pitches are under trees. There’s an on-site shop
with fresh bread and newspapers delivered daily, a family shower room and wet
room for disabled visitors.

The position of the camp site was great ,being so close to the castle and small village. However the roads through the site to get to the pitches is only on hardcore and is very dusty. We were near the top of the site and the hardcore was very loose and bumpy to wall on and drive our Motorhome onto our pitch. There is only one drinking water point at the top end of the site

This campsite is large and cramped. It mainly houses caravans and motor homes.
We, along with some friends talk our trailer tents and stayed for two nights.
It was quite chilly in the evening so after we had finished our barbecue we put a non-smoking non-sparking fire log onto our barbecue, which was raised off the ground, in order to keep warm.
We were told in no uncertain terms to put the fire out. This meant we couldn't sit outside in the evenings which in my opinion is one of the pleasures of camping.
If you like to camp in rows in a caravan where you stay inside in the evening then you would probably like this campsite. It is in a lovely location.
If you prefer camping to be sociable and outdoors, I would not recommend it at all.
I won't be returning.

This is a very clean and tidy camp site and caters for caravans, motor homes and tents. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities are always kept clean and in good condition. It has a small playground for children which our two boys loved. Great access to a footpath that leads you to Corfe Castle (3/4 mile away) and a quaint village with a good pub (The Greyhound). You can also get the steam train from Corfe to Swanage for a lovely day out. Highly recommend this site for those looking for a relaxing camping experience with easy access to stunning coastlines a short drive away.

Site ok . Entered toilet block one day and one of the cubicles was blocked up, not very nice. Also lots of toilet paper on floor. Corfe castle itself was nice.
