    Top site for walking

The Purbeck Hills, award winning beaches and a castle make this a popular family site.

Our Club campsite at Corfe Castle lies at the foot of the Purbeck Hills, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – an area known for its walking and wildlife – and is close to the Blue Flag award-winning Studland and Swanage beaches.

Our family-friendly campsite offers a mix of hardstanding and grass pitches, some of pitches are under trees. There’s a site shop with fresh bread and newspapers delivered daily, a family shower room and wet room for disabled visitors.

There are plenty of walking opportunities straight from the site. A leisurely 15-minute walk, for instance, finds you at Corfe Castle, a stunning ruin from the English Civil War whose iconic silhouette can be seen from miles around. The pretty grey stone village of Corfe Castle lies in the shadow of the romantic castle ruins. Around its square is a cluster of tearooms, trinket shops and pubs.

Studland beach – a glorious four mile stretch of golden sand – and Lulworth Cove on the Jurassic Coast are within easy reach.

Please use the downloadable map available on this page, rather than satnav to ensure you access the site via A351.

Motorhomes must be booked onto hardstandings.

Corfe Castle currently holds an AA 4 Pennant Award & 3 star Visit Britain award

There is so much to do in this area we will return! We walked the Purbeck way - bused one way and walked back and then took the steam train the other way and walked back. Well worth doing.

This review is for Corfe Castle

Corfe Castle site is a gem, secluded location but within a 15 minute stroll to Corfe village and it's amenities. The site is well tended and the facilities are amongst the cleanest we have encountered. The play area is basic but ideal for keeping sub-teens entertained for an hour or two. TV signal is OK but phone signal (O2) is sketchy, certainly no data signal - unless that is you climb Knock Knoll (behind the site) where a 3 or even 4G signal can be obtained. All in all a big thumbs up! Only negative was that over the bank holiday Friday to Monday there were a number of dog owners who clearly felt that the site rules on cleaning up their dogs poop and keeping their dogs on a lead at all times did not apply to them. I can only assume that they were not C&CC members.
