Overview

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

Welcome to our picturesque campsite on our small family farm, just outside the beautiful hamlet of Hammoon, in the heart of the Blackmore Vale. Wake up to birds singing and the sunrise over Hambledon Hill. Take a stroll and a picnic down to the River Stour or go on a bike ride and explore the North Dorset Trailway. Our site is quiet and peaceful, well away from the main road, perfect for couples / families and pets. We have 4 excellent pubs, a garage and a general stores within two miles of the site (easy walk). Leisure activities such as tennis / swimming / fishing / clay shooting / quad biking / horse riding can all be found nearby, and although we are hidden away, you can be lying on a beach in Bournemouth / Weymouth, shopping in Bath / Salisbury or walking around Stonehenge in under an hour.

A great welcome, perfectly peaceful, and with all necessary facilities.

A great welcome, perfectly peaceful, and with all necessary facilities. Our stay at Hambledon Hill View proved to be the perfect antidote to the stress of moving house the week before. This small site is totally enclosed and a safe environment for children and dogs with no means of escape! Surrounded by beautiful countryside and picturesque villages, the site was well placed for walking trails, country pubs, and independent shops, and lots of opportunities to sample the excellent local food & drink. The owners Nick and Hannah were extremely helpful and kept the site and facilities immaculate. They deserve every success with this venture. We will definitely be recommending this lovely place to our friends and family.

Another great stay at Hambledon View.

Another great stay at Hambledon View. Just spent another lovely night at Hambledon View campsite. As always Nick and Hannah very accommodating. Facilities always clean and adequate with a few extra homely touches. If you like a quiet (we were the only ones there) secure site with lovely views but close to local amenities then give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.

Beautiful spot.

This review is for Hambledon Hill View Campsite

Beautiful spot. We had a singularly unique camping experience - we were the only people in the field! We felt very lucky to have the whole space to ourselves. We briefly met Nick ( owner) who was friendly and welcoming Facilities were very clean and thoughtfully presented. Could have done with a freezer to keep the ice packs topped up, but otherwise spot on. It's a beautiful spot with views across fields and over to Hambledon Hill ( which is a tough climb but well worth it for the view) We walked to the Fickleford Inn for lunch one day. Food okay but very pleasant atmosphere and service. The walk is partly along the side of fields and the rest along the Trailway. A bit of a schlep for the moderately mobile but fine for us and two kids. We had a fab time.
