Best CS site I have visited. Personal welcome and service.

This review is for Riverside Lakes and Farm

Best CS site I have visited. Personal welcome and service. Owners meet and greet everyone as a priority. The family are very nice and someone is always available. Level grass site for campervans with adjacent washing up and refuse disposal nearby (very hot instantaneous water). Drinking water tap at elec. hookup points. Concrete footpaths lead to a very new and very extensive brick-built, very clean, toilet/shower and utility block (you shouldn't often have to queue - except for possibly the separate family room which had a bath !). The utility room had a very large fridge and a freezer. All sites have facilities for a fire (in a brazier or at a communal fire). Wood can be delivered to you on an evening "wood round" for a small fee. This is kiln-dried and low smoke and comes with kindling, fire-lighters and matches! Quiet guests seems to be a priority site rule and I found it very quiet and peaceful (plus no road noise at night). Campervans are lower down on the site and away from most tents. Wi-Fi available at Reception. The 3 lake, 12 acre site has availability for 5 campervans and about 40 odd tents (which of course is more than most other CS sites). All in all I couldn't recommend it highly enough for my needs. (Written from the perspective of weekday visit when not busy, by a single person in a small campervan - NB: the coming weekend was apparently fully booked !)

We have just spent two very enjoyable weeks staying at Riverside and cannot speak too highly of this site, it is certainly one of the best that we have visited at home and abroad in our 40+ years of camping. The camp is in a very pretty area has a top class shower block and spacious camping spaces. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and this feeling continued over our two weeks stay. What splendid site owners they are and hopefully we will return again later this year

We took our grandchildren for one night and we all loved this site. The owners were lovely and when our own wood was a bit smokey kindly let us have a bag of kiln dried wood for the fire. We toasted marsh mallows over the fire as the sun went down. A wonderful peaceful break.
