The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

On arrival at the site we were met with friendly reception staff who couldn't do enough for us, we have recently brought a puppy and was a little worried about his first camping holiday we shouldn't have been as the staff was so accomendating. We were offered pitch 16 which was close to the dog walking area... perfect!! The site is in a beautiful location with excellent access to Lyme Regis and Charmouth, of course the rest of Dorset is only a short drive away. Facilities on the site are excellent, Showers with plenty of hot water, washing up facilites and a laundry room to boot, small site shop with all the basics. A very small downside Wifi could have been better, but then again you don't go on holiday to be on your smart phone! Would definitely recommend and will most definitely stay here again.

My wife and I arrived mid afternoon and were immediately made very welcome by bright smiling assistants. Where we were to park up etc., was made very clear and our request to be near a toilet block was met without question. Everything about the site was exceptional, cleanliness, layout, maintenance, they even have a fairylit dog walk!! The showers and toilets were superb, the shop has all the essentials and once again, the staff couldn't do enough for us. It was a pleasure to stay there and to top it all the weather was fantastic, although to be fair, I don't think the staff fixed that one!

The site is excellent, not much within walking distance such as pubs etc, but quite close to Lyme Regis, Axminster and Charmouth. Excellent walks and very close to the Dorset coastal path.

Requested and got a level hard-standing close to shower block - thank you, much appreciated!...

This review is for Charmouth

Requested and got a level hard-standing close to shower block - thank you, much appreciated! Close to resorts along the Dorset and South Devon coastline. My only criticism would be speed awareness on the site, a number of guests and staff travelled well in excess of 5 mph and there were lots of children on site for the May Day bank holiday weekend.
