The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s spectacular Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

Loved the site and situated close to Lyme Regis.

This review is for Charmouth

Loved the site and situated close to Lyme Regis. My only criticism is that it could do with more toilets and showers. In our block, there was only 4 toilets and two showers. There were more however scattered around the site and the wifi signal was almost none-existent. But quiet peaceful site and would recommend ??

A beautifully kept site, with friendly, helpful staff, large pitches, and a lovely fairy-lit dog walk. Hot food stall on site each evening when we were there. There are dog friendly beaches at Charmouth (before 10am and after 6pm) and Lyme Regis to the west of The Cobb. You can park at the top of Lyme Regis for just 2 a day for a car. There are motorhome spaces too. There is a well stocked caravan shop in Charmouth, and a small Tesco, and a Co-op in Axminster, which is only about 10 minutes away by car. The wi-fi was better than on many other sites. Would definitely recommend for families, or couples.

The campsite is spread out and compared to other sites, there is a lot of green space and hedges between fields and areas. There are 2 enormous play areas for the children. At night fairly lights twinkle over a path through the woods and there is a small conservation wood in the middle of the campsite. The pitches are large and there are multiple water points throughout the site. Toilet blocks and showers are busy at times and are in the process of being renovated. The family room didn't seem as nice as the general showers so we avoided it. The shop stocks a rather random selection of foods but Charmouth, Lyme and Axminster nearby are well serviced with stores. Staff work hard to maintain this site. It really is the nicest site we've stayed on. You will need a car to get around.
