The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

Received a warm and friendly welcome on arrival, which meant a lot as we had a longer journey than expected. Allocated a lovely pitch in the corner of the Paddock. Facilities clean and had everything we needed. The site was tidy and peaceful. Well stocked shop for basics. An ideal site for exploring the coast. Visits all within an hour,Dorchester,Taunton,Lyme Regis (Park & Ride, 5 all day) Seaton for tram ride. Super markets close by, three to choose from. Two hot hot meal vans on site three days a week. Would return for another visit and recommend this site,to families, couples, old and young, & DA groups.

This is a lovely site you won't be disappointed! However, don't tell your teenagers that the wi-fi/telecom reception is not good - nothing to do with site, but BT and their service availability. Must be honest, it was great not to have the wifi, phone messages, calls etc, complete digital rest, try it, take a book, listen to the radio, talk to your partner and family. Recommended site for us we keep going back.

Lovely part of the country with lots of places of interest to visit nearby.

Lovely part of the country with lots of places of interest to visit nearby. The site was extremely well maintained and the facilities spotlessly clean. The only downside is the extremely poor mobile signal and almost total lack of wifi. This might not be important to some but we had car problems and had real difficulty dealing with breakdown company and local garage. It seems that BT are to blame!
