The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s spectacular Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

What a wonderful site.

This review is for Charmouth

What a wonderful site. It is a fairly large site, but it is segmented into small areas so you don't feel overwhelmed. The showers are brilliant - plenty of space in them. The staff are incredibly friendly. The area around is stunning. It is a short distance to various lovely locations: Lyme Regis, Seaton/Beer, Forde Abbey. It is not too far to Thomas Hardy's Casterbridge (Dorchester) near which you'll find Hardy's birthplace and the house he designed and lived in (Max Gate).

Very nice site. Good dog walk with pretty lights after dark.

Very nice site. Good dog walk with pretty lights after dark. Showers and toilets nice and big and clean but not enough showers to cope. Long queues. "Commercial" site wifi not very good. Phone reception not so good either. Site is not near Charmouth if you are on foot. You would have to cross busy A35 and walk about a mile or so. Our hard standing, made of gravel, was soft. Front wheels sunk in so levelling was difficult. All said and done this is a nice site. Staff were freindly and helpful.
