The sandy beaches of Charmouth make this a popular family site.

Our pretty Charmouth Club campsite is perfectly located for exploring Dorset’s stunning Jurrasic coast and many popular resorts including Lyme Regis and Beer to the west and West Bay and Weymouth to the east.

Surrounded by rolling hills, this well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches in small clusters bordered by trees and bushes. As well as the expected toilet and shower facilities, the campsite boasts a laundry, a well-stocked shop, children’s play area and dog walk.

If fossil hunting is on your holiday to do list, visit the Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre for information. The beach here is a good place to start your hunt for fossils or head east from the campsite to the famous Chesil Beach.

For days out the beautiful Forde Abbey and gardens at Chard is a must. Abbotsbury Swannery is ideal for children or for something different, enjoy the stunning Axe Valley from the Seaton Tramway’s hot pink narrow gauge tram.

Have been to this site a few times.

This review is for Charmouth

Have been to this site a few times. It is very pretty and very convenient for West Dorset and East Devon. I did not get their names but the chap that sited us and his wife who dealt with us for extra nights on this visit epitomised the type of people needed to be good wardens, with a quiet relaxed manner and a 'nothing too much trouble' approach (I think they had a 'Minnie Winnie' large motorhome). Wish I could have had more nights but will be back next season.

Stayed 7 nights end of August into September. Helpful welcome on arrival. Allocated an excellent sized pitch in a small glade with 7 other caravans. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area. The Anchor Inn at Seatown (approx 7 miles away) serves excellent pub food in a fantastic cliff top/beachside setting. Site facilities on older section of site showing their age, but work efficiently, and are maintained to a high degree of cleanliness. Would definitely stay at this site again.

This was the first time I have ever camped at a club site.

This review is for Charmouth

This was the first time I have ever camped at a club site. The welcome was great and first impressions was a clean well laid out place. Loads of space and where ever you are on the site it's easy walking to the shower and toilets. The site shop is well stocked and the idea of the baked potato man selling very cheap food is a great idea. Lyme regis is very close and he local pub is also dog friendly. Excellent place and I would stay there again

How have I not found this site before??!! Booked last minute for Sat Aug BH to stay in camping field. Arrived to really friendly welcome and flexible approach to pitching etc after a longer than expected journey. Easy access to all the beautiful West Dorset coastal towns and villages with spectacular walking and seaside. Portaloos in camping field welcome addition, but not too far to the main site facilities either. Recommend if you get there early enough and it's windy to pitch at the side of the field rather than in the middle, and if you don't like road noise, pitch away from the side nearest the A35. We will definitely return for a longer stay
