Non members allowed on and one group of three tents were noisy into the early hours and let their dogs roam over the site. No one from the pub seemed bothered. Hence we booked in for 3 nights and only stayed 2. I believe this has only just been taken over and hope the new owners will get it back up to standard.

Negatives : Non members allowed on site. Units being parked to close to each other. Campsite seems to be an over flow for the pub playground. Campsite being used for exercising horses. Waste bins overflowing and coursing smell and insect problems. Positives: Toilet and showers clean and hot. Small playground in pub grounds. Large sports field at rear of camp site for dog walks and ball games, also a council public play area. Well stocked post office just a short walk over sports field. Good base for local attractions.

This is a small flat field in land adjacent to the pub with views over the pubs pet corner and surrounding countryside. We paid 15 per night, without hook-up. This was a fair price as there are 2 showers and a toilet located within the rear area of the pub. There is also a washing up sink here. We did not eat at the pub so cannot comment on the food. It is a short walk of approx fifteen minutes to the local shop across the cricket/sports field which is adjacent to the campsite. This is a good spot to stop over if you plan to go to Monkeyworld, the Tank Museum or Lulworth Cove.

was made very welcome on arrival at the site and was shown the facilities, shower room, rubbish point, water point, waste water point, cdp point, all well maintained and tidy, the grass pitch areas are well maintained and mowed. an ideal site for visiting local places,or just relaxing on site, the pub serves a good range of beverages, the food is execelent, the hosts are very friendly and welcoming.will return again.one thing worth mentioning is the entrance to the car park this has a slope so for the larger units a risk of grounding as we approached this square on and lost a jackpad we exited in a diagonal manoeuvre no problem, perhaps a little sign on the entrance would advise other caravaners of this risk of grounding for larger units.
