The Red Lion is now under new management since November 2014. So the above reviews are not really applicable anymore. The landlord and his wife couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, we have stayed two weekends it's a lovely old pub and the food was amazing value and delicious! The facilities are ok hot and clean showers ect. Plenty of room for family's and children to fun about all in all good value. Bit of road traffic noise but didn't stop us sleeping well!

Non members allowed on and one group of three tents were noisy into the early hours and let their dogs roam over the site. No one from the pub seemed bothered. Hence we booked in for 3 nights and only stayed 2. I believe this has only just been taken over and hope the new owners will get it back up to standard.

Negatives : Non members allowed on site. Units being parked to close to each other. Campsite seems to be an over flow for the pub playground. Campsite being used for exercising horses. Waste bins overflowing and coursing smell and insect problems. Positives: Toilet and showers clean and hot. Small playground in pub grounds. Large sports field at rear of camp site for dog walks and ball games, also a council public play area. Well stocked post office just a short walk over sports field. Good base for local attractions.

This is a small flat field in land adjacent to the pub with views over the pubs pet corner and surrounding countryside. We paid 15 per night, without hook-up. This was a fair price as there are 2 showers and a toilet located within the rear area of the pub. There is also a washing up sink here. We did not eat at the pub so cannot comment on the food. It is a short walk of approx fifteen minutes to the local shop across the cricket/sports field which is adjacent to the campsite. This is a good spot to stop over if you plan to go to Monkeyworld, the Tank Museum or Lulworth Cove.
