This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

has the following facilities on or around the site.
Make sure you follow the directions to the Donkey Sanctuary and then to the site as this is accessed down a typical Devon lane. You could end up stuck if you try to go in any other way.
The owners are very friendly and helpful, even when we tried to get into their drive because I hadn't read the sign properly.
Your own facilities are a must as they only have fresh water and a CDP on site, but the site is large and you can park where you like. It is in the midst of farming country with good views no matter which way you look. Lovers of peace and quiet will be well catered for.
We were the only ones on site and it was heaven. Just us and the birds.
The site is gated and could be locked if requested, if it makes you feel safer.
Our motorhome is 29ft long and we found the access easy enough.
This site deserves more custom.

A very peaceful site, surrounded by farmland. We stayed for two nights at the end of July and had the field to ourselves. The only facilities are a tap and chemical disposal point, so own sanitation is essential.
Good walking in the area and a shuttle bus to Sidmouth calls at the Donkey Sanctuary and local campsites.
