Even out of season the site is immaculate and lovely. Easy walk to the estuary and a couple of good pubs with food.
Very neat, clean and tidy site. Efficient but pleasant welcome from owner who was very informative on the locality. Just outside Starcross so feels like countryside but easy to get into the village on foot. Cannot vouch for the fishing but the small lake on site is very pretty.
It's a great jumping off point for all kind of activities but the layout of the site suggests (there was just one other unit onsite when we stayed) that it would be very pleasant and quiet enough even when full. The 6 hardstanding pitches are lovely with generous space for an awning alongside.
Couple of puns to choose from: Atmospheric Railway in Starcross busy with nice enough food at reasonable prices. Anchor very nice with very good menu (assuming you like seafood and aren't allergic to crab!) although the prices reflect that.
We will definitely be returning to stay for longer in warmer and sunnier weather!

I really shouldn't do a review because we may not be able to come back if everyone books :)
Lovely site run by a friendly but not invasive owner . Shown all the amenities when we arrived and told of the dog walk at the back that leads into the lane for the village .
Lovely and clean , short grass - didn't try the shower or loos as we used our own .
There is a small laundrette and fresh eggs for sale from the well cared for on site chickens.
Only down side was the very noisy road , the stream that was very overgrown and could do with some TLC , the steam and bridge by the lake could be very picturesque if strimmed and cleared and the very noisy campers on our last day . The hand standing had huge issues when pitching the awning , 2 inches of cement at the side meant you can't put pegs in ( could be solved by bringing the sides out with gravel for caravan tyres ) . Very well defined and generous pitches
Very pricey for a basic site but worth it if you love the Dawlish area .

Lovely well kept site
This is a lovely site with a stream running through it and extremely well kept. There are 6 hard standings made of pavers and which sit about 2above ground level. The hard standings are surrounded by a couple of inches of cement below the grass. This makes it difficult to secure any caravan awnings near to the caravan. There is one grass pitch with electricity. Camping is in adjacent field with large pitches. The toilet facilities consist of one toilet, shower and wash basin for the ladies and the same for the men. The site is ideal for motor homes and caravans preferably without awnings. The adjacent road, although only a minor road is the main route to the A380 and A30 and is quite busy and noisy at times. Expensive for a CS. We paid 19.50 per night in May 2016.
