We had a lovely long weekend at this site. Good hot showers. Free range eggs were delicious. The sun shone while we were there so we we took the opportunity to walk to Dawlish Warren, took us about an hour. We travelled back on the hopper train 2.20 each single which only took 6 minutes......worth every penny. The station at Starcross is only a few minutes walk from the site. The frequent service could take you to Dawlish Warren or as far as Paignton. The local area is great for walking and cycling (did not take our bikes this time but will the next time). There is a lovely walk along a permissive footpath to Powderham Castle Country shop with farm shop, gift shop, nursery and restaurant. The farm shop has a mine of tasty and unusual goods - even got a couple of bits for Christmas presents. This is such a great base for exploring the area. We hope to return. Thank you to Paul and Helen, the owners.

We booked in for 2 nights stopover and received verbal directions. We took a wrong turn (ooops!) but once we arrived we were welcomed by the site owner. We had a nice large pitch (only van on 2nd field) Facilities are clean - just one ladies, one gents. Might be better to keep 2 'unisex' as use of the shower engages the loo as well. Site is well situated for train at Starcross, Dawlish etc. Nice evening walk with the dog too. We would be happy to come here again.
