This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operates under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.
Whilst the majority of Certificated Sites do permit children, please be aware that this site has chosen to be Adults Only.
Cheristow Lavender is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, on a working beef farm. We keep traditional Devon Ruby cows, and have a small tearoom.
The campsite is ADULT ONLY, as we have no facilities for children and are a working farm with farm machinery and livestock.
The site is very quiet with wonderful views over the countryside, and sea in the distance.
About 25 minutes walk from the South West Coastal Path, we are in a perfect location if you wish to spend your time walking the coast or relaxing by your pitch.
Prices for 2015 are £5 per adult and £3.50 for electricity per night.
The showers and toilets are basic but functional.
Clovelly, Hartland Quay, Hartland Lighthouse, Bude and Bideford are nearby

An excellent location to explore this part of North Devon. The coastal walks, which you can do from the site, are truly amazing and visits to Hartland Point, Welcombe Mouth, Bucks Mills and the village church in Stoke are well worth doing. The nearest supermarkets are in Bude or Bideford when you can also walk the beach in Bude or go to Appledore if you head for Bideford.
We loved staying on this site it was so peaceful and lovely to watch the Ruby Red Cattle in the fields. Plenty of dog walks from the site without getting in the car. Most definitely worth a visit and of course you have the tea room on your doorstep. Highly recommended.

We would be happy to return to this site at any time. Eric and Michelle are so friendly and welcoming. We loved being on a site with extensive views over the countryside. We enjoyed watching the Devon Red Ruby cattle that Eric farms. The Tea Rooms is something else again, with enticing goodies available. A must is a visit to the Secret Garden designed by Eric.
