    Top site for beaches

Our lovely Club Site on the south Devon coast.

The South Hams offers a wonderful mix of coast, moorland and rolling hills and a range of activities to match from walking and cycling to sailing and surfing. For history lovers there are delights such as Totnes Castle and The South Devon Railway, while a range of arts and food festivals and sailing regattas will keep culture-vultures happy.

Where better to base yourself to enjoy these delights than at our lovely Dartmouth Club campsite. Aptly named as the attractive harbour town is just a five minute drive away, the site offer campers stunning sea views over Start Bay. Spacious pitches, a large camping field and family shower room are among the facilities on offer.

There are beaches aplenty - Blackpool Sands is within walking distance – Slapton Sands, Torcross, Beesand Beach and Hall Sands are a short drive away.

Also easily accessed are Totnes, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. At the latter cross the River Dart to the pretty village of Kingswear and hop on board the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway for a ride along the Torbay coast. While on this side of the river, Greenway is a magical place to explore. Once the holiday home of Agatha Christie it is now managed by the National Trust.

2nd site this week and very consistent with the first! Really friendly and very helpful on arrival again, helping us to get the most suitable pitch for our stay. Another great location with great beaches just down the road albeit for us we needed a hire car as the Devon lanes are not so accommodating for a large motorhome. A nice little bistro @ 15min walk down the road is called Radius 7 and is highly recommended.

This was our second stay at this site and we will returning again. There are so many things to do locally, we are very fortunate to be able to use our bus passes as the bus stops are right outside of the campsite, in one direction we went to Plymouth where we went on a boat trip around the harbour, also did some shopping, Plymouth is one of my favourite citys, there so much to see & do all within walking distance of the bus stop. In the other direction there is Dartmouth another interesting place to look around so much going on, on the water. Last year we went on the "round robin trip" this comprised of a ferry crossing to Kingsweir ,steam train ride to Paignton, bus to Totnes and finally a boat trip down the river Dart back to Dartmouth this can be done in any way or combination, Another time we caught the ferry to Agatha Christy's house all in all so much to see and do. Woodlands adventure park is just a stones throw away, great day out for family's ( and recycled teenagers alike ).Within walking distance is the village of Stoke Fleming where there is a pub serving good food and drink children are also welcome. All in all a great site, great location.

Plenty to see and do in the area, get the bus and boat timetables from reception.

Plenty to see and do in the area, get the bus and boat timetables from reception. Buses virtually non-existent on Sunday's. Would recommend the boat trip to Totnes but be aware of return times as they are governed by tide. Great chippy van on site certain nights, would recommend the fish. Make sure your sat-nav doesn't send you via Kingswear the ferry is not cheap with a caravan. Have a great holiday.
