Each of the gates along the dog walk and access points to other fields should have stoned paving to avoid negotiating mud and/or very deep puddles.

This was the second time we have stayed at this site.

This review is for Ashbourne

This was the second time we have stayed at this site. The site it's self is well maintained and the welcome is second to none. However, the hardstanding pitches are not wide enough. My caravan was pitched as close to the grass as possible and still my awning would not fit on the pitch properly and the front of the awning was pegged into the grass, not good when the warden is trying to preserve the grass. The car had to be parked on a vacant pitch. I would have thought that any pitch should be at least 6m by 6m so that caravan, awning and car can comfortably fit on. This, however is my only gripe.

“A friendly and peaceful site, the showers and toilets are spotless and Ashbourne is only a 5 min drive away. There is a dog walk and even though it is a short walk its a peaceful walk first thing in the morning listening to the many birds attracted to the site due to the conservation being carried out. We would definitely use this site again for a peaceful short break. One tip don't follow sat nav.”
