Peaceful site, friendly welcome, clean facilities. Just back from weekend at Little Stryne.

Peaceful site, friendly welcome, clean facilities. Just back from weekend at Little Stryne. Very friendly welcome from Brenda. Smashing little site which is close to all amenities, but secluded and peaceful. Elvaston Castle is 10 minutes walk up the road and is lovely for picnics and has beautiful grounds to walk in. Shardlow Marina is worth a visit. Findern Marina has recently been refurbished and there are really nice shops and eateries there too. Didn't really want our weekend to end! Sue & Robert. sC

Lovely open field, locked and secure site, pleasant outlook and friendly owner Within walking distance of a large Co-Op and other facilities in the town of Borrowash, this is a secure site with combination padlock on the gate. There is a large field where children (and adults) can play ball games and the entire site is surrounded on 3 sides by water. A tall hedge separates the caravan part from the tent part. There are electric hook up points for some of the tent pitches. The downside is there is only one ladies toilet which is up a couple of rickety wooden steps, and althought the toilet paper is nice and soft and the toilet seemed clean, the sink was grubby the whole time we were there. The men had 3 toilets and urinals, again accessed up some wooden steps. Hot water was instant, plentiful and hot. The owner is friendly and on the whole it was a good site. But it does need a re-think on the loo situation!

The site despite having a rally running during our stay was very quiet. The toilets need upgrading and the site owners have this in hand. It is an easy walk into town for shops, pub, restaurants and takeaways. The site owners are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay and will be returning.

Great site - larger than we expected. Secure site on the edge of town - locked main gate.

Great site - larger than we expected. Secure site on the edge of town - locked main gate. Very handy for shops and excellent Indian restaurant (Rajni's), and a short walk from Elvaston Country Park. Easy to find too. Lots of families there when we were there, so some early noise....but a great place for children. Only drawback was only one women's toilet for quite a large number of units (didn't count but maybe 15). Brenda was a very helpful resident manager.
