Great site for exploring the Derbyshire dales. Friendly welcome.

Great site for exploring the Derbyshire dales. Friendly welcome. Adult only site with great views Been here before and each time we get a great welcome, the pigs eat any non meat leftovers but are far enough away from the pitches to not infringe. free eggs which are from their free range chickens are lovely. The dog walk is great but can be a bit soggy in the winter months. Hard standings are set out great with plenty of space, its very open so can be windy but it does mean you get great views and the sunsets are gorgeous. Great value. Will go back again definitely.

Just got home from a 3 night stay at this lovely site.owners warm and welcoming. Perfect for quiet time, dog walks, local friendly pub This site is one we will definitely be returning to. If you want quiet relaxing time or lovely walks (with dogs)as we did with a local friendly pub (black horse) less than half a mile away then this is the site for you. Owners lovely and kind. Free fresh eggs from the chickens around the farm. It's an adult only site with beautiful all round views. This site also has a dog exercise area which is handy to nip around in your pj's last thing at night, don't forget your wellies as the grass is wet this time of year.TV and phone signal is not a problem on this site also has free wifi if you need it.

This review is for Poplars Farm

Friendly owners, great site within easy walk of two village pubs and Carsington Waters Peter met us upon arrival and as other reviewers have said, very friendly and helpful. The 6 fresh eggs from his chickens were a delicious breakfast treat. Five hardstanding (gravel) pitches well placed to give privacy better than others we have stayed on. Carsington Waters is a good 1 hour 20 minutes manageable walk away and worth a visit. There are two pubs in the village 1 mile and 1/2 mile away although we only managed to get to the Nags Head which has a great menu and the food was wonderful. W/C and shower good, warm, clean, lots of toilet roll and soap. Definitely go back and recommend.
