Peaceful site with magnificent views of the hills of the Lake District.

This review is for Crossfells Campsite

Peaceful site with magnificent views of the hills of the Lake District. Enjoyed the peace and tranquilty of this site. Within easy access to the Lake District. Kendal is only twenty minutes away. Penrith is five minutes away. The M6 and A66 are only a few minutes from the site. No traffic noise can be heard. The owners are lovely and very helpful. They have a small but useful information kiosk. This is next to the toilet, which is very, very clean. Unfortunately no shower, but we had a shower in our caravan, so it was not a problem. Will definitely return again.

Very good and site with friendly and helpful owners. Good for stop over near M6 or as base for really good countryside N, S, E & W of site. Good stop over site for us in bad weather on our way home to Yorkshire. Will defiantly use again as a stop over. Equally we may spend a few days exploring the country side to the East of the M6.

Utterly brilliant site, clean, well maintained and honesty box meant i didnt even meet the owners. Will use again. We arrived late pulled in to the site and hooked up, contacted owners by text and paid using their honesty box. Very clean toilet and chemical disposal point, small with a great view and will definately use again when Im next passing that way.

We used this site as a stopover on our way up to Scotland. Never meet the owners as we left early next morning, but they were very helpful and pleasant when ringing up to book. I chose this as it was a basic site which we prefer.Well equipped you can fill motorhome directly with hose and offload waste water at same time in grid. Peaceful with nice countryside views. We will definatley return. Thanks The Chippendales.
